Because we at Contrology Connection feel that a solid foundation is the key to a strong education, we begin all of our programs with a pre-requisite in Movement Foundations.

This course is included in your mat program as well as an online anatomy course to take before the in-person weekend modules. A passing certificate of completion needs to be submitted to faculty to move forward. A manual/workbook is available to coincide with the entire program.

4 days will be spent in-person at a host studio as well as live online classroom hours to master the following subject:
Pre-Pilates Exercises and Stretches
Exercise Level for Progression
Biomechanical Principles
Alignment Protocols
Exercise Descriptions and Objectives
Safety and Spotting Techniques
Adaptations, Modifications, and Contraindications
Movement Advancements and Variations
Foundations of Magic Circle
We will not only skillfully master the 38 mat exercises, but teach progressions, variations, how and when to use props, and apply all of that knowledge to special populations you may encounter as an instructor. A workbook/manual is available for this course.

Two days will be spent in-person at a host studio as well as live online classroom hours to master the following subject:

Safety and Spotting Techniques
Adaptations, Modifications, and Contraindications
Movement Advancements and Variations
We will work through exercises on the spine corrector, arcs, small barrels, and ladder barrel. Progressions, variations, adaptations, proper alignment, tactile cues, and in-depth detail of how to teach special populations each exercise. A workbook/manual is available for this course.

5 days will be spent in-person at a host studio as well as live online classroom hours to master the following subject:

Biomechanical Principles
Alignment Protocols
Exercise Descriptions and Objectives
Safety and Spotting Techniques
Adaptations, Modifications, and Contraindications
Resistance Levels
Movement Advancements and Variations
We will work through classical beginner and intermediate reformer exercises. We will not only teach proper form, common mistakes and how to correct, but will also teach progressions, variations, appropriate verbal and tactile cues, and apply all of that knowledge to special populations you may encounter as an instructor. A workbook/manual is available for this course.

3 days will be spent in-person at a host studio as well as live online classroom hours to master the following subject:
Biomechanical Principles
Alignment Protocols
Exercise Descriptions and Objectives
Safety and Spotting Techniques
Resistance Levels
Adaptations, Modifications, and Contraindications
Movement Advancements and Variations
We will work on towers, the cadillac, and spring walls. You will learn how to properly handle all the equipment, how to work with special populations, how to teach each exercise, when to regress and progress each movement. A workbook/manual is available for this course.

3 days will be spent in-person at a host studio as well as live online classroom hours to master the following subject:

Safety and Spotting Techniques
Adaptations, Modifications, and Contraindications
Resistance Levels
Movement Advancements and Variations
You will learn how to work with various types of chairs, as well as various brands and how to integrate the work onto each. Like the other modules, progressions, variations, how and when to use props, and apply all of that knowledge to special populations you may encounter as an instructor will be taught. A workbook/manual is available for this course.

4 days will be spent in-person at a host studio as well as live online classroom hours to master the advanced exercises in Chair, Cadillac, Reformer, and Ladder Barrel. We feel that separating the advanced work for after you have mastered beginner and intermediate exercises will set you, the student, up for success. Not only will it make the practice in your body more available, but you will have mastered spine shapes, tactile cues, safety spotting, verbal cues, and alignment protocols to be able to apply to the advanced movements.
As we have in the other modules, we will teach progressions, variations, how and when to use props, and apply all of that knowledge to special populations you may encounter as an instructor. These exercises will be in the workbooks/manuals for each apparatus.
The details and expectations to our 700-hour program are as follows:
- Course hours (both in-person and online) 175
- Personal Practice hours 200
- Observation hours 100
- Teaching practice hours 200
- Additional hours include case study and exams
Proof of hours need to be provided in order to sit for each exam. Students are given electronic timesheets that they may print or track online. At least 75% of all personal practice, observation, and teaching practice must be performed in-person, the remainder can be live on-line. Personal Practice hours can be received under the guidance a peer within the program or a certified instructor by ways of group class, private lessons, and/or master classes. Practical exams can be combined.
Investment (includes Foundations & Mat): $5,500
Mat & Foundations: Practical classical mat order of 38 exercises and 25-question multiple choice exam.
Beginner/Intermediate Apparatuses: Practical teach 3 exercises of your choosing on the following apparatus: Chair, Tower, Spine Corrector, and Ladder Barrel. Teach 3-5 exercises of proctor's choosing on each apparatus.
Beginner/Intermediate Reformer: Practical teach a 50-minute intermediate level session to a body with additional exercises requested by proctor to follow.
Written: 25-question multiple choice exam.
Advanced Apparatuses: Practical teach 3 advanced exercises of your choosing and teach 3-5 advanced exercises of proctor's choosing on the following apparatuses: Chair, Cadillac, Ladder Barrel, and Reformer.
Written: complete a case study with a detailed pathology and demographic given by proctor of your time with said client and how you would take them through the system.
